Features and Amenities

The Etna Shire offers one bedroom 400 square foot "tiny houses" and two bedroom 700 square foot units. All units are stand alone buildings (no party walls) with full utilities, W/D, and a large deck. All units also come with a private auxiliary building that can be used as alternative work or creative space, or for storage. The Etna Shire is adjacent to the Etna Community Center and minutes walking distance to the Start Bus Stop, the Etna Trading Company and only a few blocks from the grade school. There is also a hair salon, foot zone therapy center and yoga studio (http://iheartyogawy.com/) located within walking distance of the community.

Community Rules

The Etna Shire lease agreement outlines some expectations of tenets. Please be advised that due to occupancy regulations, no more than two adults and one child shall occupy the home. If you have guests who will be staying with you longer than 10 days, it is required that you notify the property manager. If a new person joins you in occupying the rental (whether or not they will be on the rental agreement) he or she will be asked to submit to a background check in the same manner as any new person to the community.

Smoking is not allowed inside the units. Please smoke outside and dispose of cigarette butts in an outside waste can being sure they are fully extinguished.

Pets

The Etna Shire allows one pet per home with an additional pet deposit. Residents are asked to be respectful of others in the community by not leaving pets unattended outside, and vigilantly picking up and disposing of all pet waste. As a courtesy to others and to maintain the quality the property do not let pets urinate on decks, outdoor walls, or in other peoples' yards. Please note that aquariums in excess of 10 gallons will not be allowed due to potential water damage.

Rent and Utilities
All rentals are $1,700 per month. We require first month rent, last month rent, and one full month security deposit which will be refunded to you upon the termination of your lease less costs for repairs.

** Note that the property insurance of the Etna Shire community does not cover loss of personal property for any reason. Residents are encouraged to obtain renters insurance to protect themselves against the loss of personal items within the rental unit.

The Etna Shire will cover the cost of water and septic. Tenants are responsible for setting up an account with Lower Valley Energy for payment of electric utilities. Each unit is metered individually for electricity.
